DRUG/ALCOHOL EDUCATION PROGRAM

PHASE I GROUP

The 1^st Phase of Here’s Help provides a new client with a Primary therapist that will orientate he/she to the rules and regulations of the program. The format of the group sessions include:

The Here’s Help packet review, discussion to prepare for testing and entrance into the second phase of the program.

Drug/Alcohol related films followed by a group discussion and essay

Newly incorporated workbook that clients will use as a tool to learn about drug/alcohol abuse and its effects on the individual, social and family problems that it causes.

PHASE II GROUP

In the 2^nd phase of the program clients will be educated through the group process of peer counseling, strength building, identifying weaknesses and problem solving

In the second phase of treatment, clients will be provided with; and work through a relapse prevention workbook as a follow up to the drug education process and prepare to take on a less restrictive regiment of supervision.

PHASE III GROUP

Clients will continue to sit in support groups, attend other supportive organizations and take an active part in developing strong support systems, interpersonal relationship, re-integrating back into society.

Video viewing of documentaries of different types of drugs
